As I write this gamers are losing themselves in Mass Effect 2, gorging as we all love to do on the latest high profile games – myself included. Such is the quality of Zoe Mode’s new Xbox Live Arcade title Chime, it still managed to hook me into playing many hours despite not being finished with Commander Shepard’s adventures. Recently I purchased a PSP Go to replace my aging PSP-1000. Now one of the first things I did was transferred my PSOne classics across, but during this process, my attention got snagged by the “miniS” on the Playstation Network Store – needless to say, I buckled and bought two. Let’s take a look at Let’s Golf and Tetris for the PSP.

Warning - the following review contains spoilers for those who have not finished Assassins Creed 2

Assassins Creed 2 was one of the best games of 2009 – a fantastic experience that delivered on it’s promises and gave players a wealth of content. So you can imagine then, that when Ubisoft announced not one – but two pieces of downloadable content in early 2010, the many fans of the game were excited at the thought of playing the two memory sequences that were originally discarded due to time constraints. ...

When I play Dark Void I think of a movie made for TV – sure, you’ll get some light entertainment out of it and you might even spot a well known actor or two, but there’s the knowledge that it’s a low budget and mundane experience, never destined for any great heights.

The questions of a million “Player vs Environment” “Grinders” will be answered this year when Blizzard releases the World of Warcraft’s 3rd Expansion “World of Warcraft: Cataclysm”. Why is this, you ask? In this new iteration of WoW, players will be given the opportunity to rediscover the old world. The catch being, a dragon’s gone and torn the place up, opening up new areas and reshaping old ones. Players will also be able to utilize their flying mounts in these new and old areas for the first time in WoW’s history.

With 2009 at an end and 2010 trickling into January, educational placement offers are starting to pop up all around Australia. So the big question is, did you make it into the course you were after? Will you come out of your course with skills that can be applied to game development? Sound & video editing, coding, art, so on and so forth.
